My work begins with observation, but I am less interested in recording appearances than in understanding what they hold emotionally. I paint figures that carry calm, pressure, beauty, and vulnerability at the same time.
Yarn came into the work because I wanted a material that could slow the image down. It introduced patience and touch. Over time it also became symbolic for me, because thread suggests continuity, care, and the quiet labour of holding oneself together.
Even when the paintings are drawn from public appearance, I want them to move toward dignity and reflection rather than spectacle. I think of each work as a space where stillness can be built intentionally.
My practice continues to evolve, but peace, introspection, and emotional clarity remain central to what I am trying to make visible.
